Paralegal and Legal Assistant
Location: Virginia Office
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview:
Responsibilities will include maintaining firm docket on a daily basis, preparing documents, and filing various documents in a timely manner via EFS (Electronic Filing System) with the USPTO, corresponding with the clients, assisting and supporting attorneys and others with production of legal documents or other administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
- Superior organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and work independently
- Administrative experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Fluency in English and Chinese
Technical Specialist
Location: Virginia Office
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview:
Responsibilities will include drafting/translating patent applications, working with attorneys on all prosecution matters in the USPTO and other counseling matters.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or above in electrical, computer, materials, or mechanical engineering
- At least 12 months of experience working in a patent law firm
- Strong technical and legal writing skills
- Solid working knowledge of science, technology, and intellectual property law
- Fluency in English and Chinese
